Motherhood Session: Sherry & Mason
I am so excited to share this beautiful Motherhood Session with you today!
Sherry was looking for fine art maternity photos with her baby boy and actually made the long trip of over an hour to my studio! That’s a super hero Mom right there! As soon as she arrived, we wanted her to catch her breath and get settled in ensuring baby Mason was content first and foremost! We encourage our moms to bring anything (and everything - seriously don’t be shy!) that allows your baby to feel comfortable. This includes strollers, bouncers, a blanket for them to lay down on to stretch out their legs, teether, and anything else to make them feel like home. Our main priority is to ensure the comfort of the baby so the studio temperature is always comfy and cozy for your baby.
Baby Mason was totally content chewing on his teether, while Mommy was getting her hair and makeup done by our amazing team of stylists. Christina Kaian from Make Me Up RI (www.makemeupri.com) did an absolutely phenomenal job with Sherry’s makeup application. If you haven’t checked out her work yet, check her out on IG: @makemeupri. My wife styled the hair creating a natural tousled look.
We photographed 4 outfits: Copper-tone bodysuit, black gown, long off-the-shoulder gray sweater and a long white silk blouse. By the way, when you book with Motherly Portraits, we send you our wardrobe prep guide to help you plan our outfits and my wife will help any questions you may have as well. I understand it can be daunting trying to figure out what to wear and what to bring but no worries - our goal is always to make this experience as smooth as possible for you!
With a feeding break then 20 minute nap in between (what baby wants, baby gets!) we finished our shoot with some beautiful photos of a very happy baby! Score!
