Many of our mama’s-to-be are surprised when I tell them the following: “…and we only book one client per day.”. That means if you’re on our calendar as a booked shoot, the entire day belongs to you, no rushing, no juggling, no “squeezing you in.” Just you, your story, and the time to really enjoy it. Because let’s be honest, pregnancy is already full of schedules and appointments… your maternity session shouldn’t feel like another one.

At Motherly Portraits, we made a conscious decision to never double book, and here’s why that matters so much.

You Deserve the Full Experience

When you walk into our studio, this is your day. From the moment you sit down for hair and makeup, there’s no one else waiting behind you, no sense that we’re on the clock. You get to relax, sip something refreshing, laugh with us, and just enjoy the process. That peace of mind shows up in your final portraits and trust me, it makes all the difference.

The Little Details Take Time

Luxury isn’t about rushing. It’s about details like adjusting the lighting until it’s perfect, styling your wardrobe so it looks effortless, or taking breaks when you need them.

Sometimes that means pausing for a snack, other times it means letting you soak in the moment before we move on to the next look. Those pauses aren’t interruptions; they’re what make the experience human, personal, and special.

We Edit with Intention

Because we don’t overbook, we can also give the same focus and care to what happens after your shoot: editing. Your images aren’t just “touched up”, they’re crafted.

Every portrait is treated like it belongs in a magazine spread, polished to highlight your beauty without losing the authenticity of you. That kind of attention doesn’t happen when a studio is cycling through clients like a factory line.
